Tour Itinerary
A very special War History Tour of Labuan. Trace the route of Baker and Charlie, where the 2nd, 28th and 2nd/32nd Battalion took respectively. Stop by Brown Beach, site of the Allied landing on 10th June 1945, which led to the liberation of Labuan and the then British Borneo. The tour would include St. Anne's School, which served as the Australian Service Canteen during the War, "Pitsh 1" and Pitch "2" - the old airfields and the "Surrender Point". the tour will proceed to the site of the "Pocket", where a fierce battle took place and where many died.

Visit the Labuan War Cemetery, where 3,908 allied soldiers are buried. In the fore court is the Colonade, and inscribed here are the names of another 2,327 officers and men of the Australian Army, Royal Australian Air Force and local forces of North Borneo and Brunei, who died while being held prisoners of war in Borneo and the Philippine from 1942 to 1945. A section is also dedicated to the Indian Army, mainly from the 2nd/15th Punjab Regiment, who died while being detained as prisoners of War.
